Whats good....I hope we all had a wonderful n blessed weekend...This is Rhyme n Reason 6...This week I went with Alanis Morissette's "Ironic." This song is one of my favorite from her album Jagged Little Pill. Check it out "Ironic."
First of all the video is ironic. She's driving herself around. When i first heard this song i was like this a pretty depression song. I mean listen to the lyrics. "Its like rain on your wedding day, Its a free ride when you already late, Its a good advice you didnt take." Its like everything going wrong. But in all reality, it be like that sometimes so i could relate. You know those times when your looking for say your camera to capture a moment but couldnt find it. Then a week later when you dont need it you find it...Isnt it ironic....You know how some times you might wake up late for work and your rushing and as you get on the highway there is a traffic jam.....Isnt it Ironic......I guess what she is trying to get across she says in the song " Life as a funny way of sneaking up on you, Life as a funny way of helping you out." What do you think?
Overall tho I really dig this song. The lyrics are clever. The video in a funny way fits the song. I think its a very creative song....

Alanis has been a fave of mine for a long time...she has a way of breaking down real life in such a creative way. Ironic is very clever with its lyrics..."hit the lottery, and die the next day"...yeah, that would happen to me.

Indeed....The funny thing is when i thought about Alanis Morissette I was either gonna be Ironic or You Outta Know...I definitely like the song also....
ReplyDeleteI agree...I have Ironic days sometimes too seems like when it rains it pours at times. I think we all have days that we could say Isn't it Ironic??
